Good evening all

I have a 2000 a4 and the alarm keeps going off , I'm lucky it seems the siren does not work but it means I can't lock the car without the lights going off all the time.

question is can I just take out the alarm module or fuse and will it still unlock the car and allow the engine to start

I am not fussed about having a alarm anyway
