2001 1.9 A6 Turbo lacks oomph
Hi,
I just bought at 2001 A6 with the 1.9 TDi. It came from auction so I was expecting some problems, especially with 190,000 miles on the clock.
At first it felt like their was no turbo at all, but as it warmed up it improved. When warm it pulls well from 1250 rpm to 2000 rpm when it goes flat again.
I have not seen it in the sober light of day yet, but my guess is a split turbo hose. Does this sound sensible? Any likely culprits?

Did a bit of reading and people suggested that the O2 sensor might be on its way out.
Went to pull the cable to see if it made any odds. Found a hose of just after the O2 sensor, so it was taking in unmetered air giving the same symptoms as a duff O2 sensor.
Two cable ties later, it goes like a rocket!
