What's up fellas!
So I have an issue with swapping this two as I'm sure some of you have already found the issue. I have a 1999 2.8l passat AHA car with manual transmission that I just wrecked. I got lucky or so I thought and I was able to buy a 2003 2.8l ATQ car with a automatic transmission but the engine is done for. I want to take the 99 motor out of my car that is still good and put it in the 03 car and make it an automatic. Now I know that the crankshaft are different from the endless hours of reading. However I am wondering if that is something I can make work with a little ingenuity? Thanks for the help in advance guys!

 

Thought one of you guys would have an answer within minutes! Guess I'll just have to go with trial and error.... gotta a car for work this week. ��

 

This isn't the olden days when you could bolt things together and make them work. Damned computers have ruined all that. Good luck on the swap.
