Hello
Im looking for some help or advice. My 61 plate A1 S-Line (1.6 Diesel) currently at 48k has started making what can only be described as a high pitch whining noise, which only seems to happen on a cold morning. Appears to come from the front drivers side. As soon as I turn off and start the car again, the noise stops. it's happened around3 times now, the first time by the time I had reached the airport (7 miles away) there was a strong burning smell (could have been aviation fuel, but I'm sure it was from my A1).
Audi can't see it for another 9 days so I'm wondering if anybody knows what it could be?
I've uploaded a video of the noise, where you can hear it stops after I turn the ignition off.
