I own a 1998 Audi A4.

For the past week my sunroof has been malfuntioning; as i drive down the road it will suddenly open the vent, then a few seconds later close it. Sporatically the vent will continue to open and close. The control is in the close (0) position and continues to open.

Also, if i turn it to the slide position it will not open completely everytime.

Has anyone ever experienced this problem?

Anyone know what it may be?

Sounds like you have a faulty sunroof switch. Try unplugging it to see if your symptoms disappear. If the switch is the cause theres a repair procedure on audiworld.com.
