I have had my 2002 A6 3.0 to the local dealer 3 times as the battery does not keep charge. They replaced the battery the first visit as they said it was dead. The second and third visits resulted in the dealership recharging the battery. I was told by the dealership that the car could not sit for more than 3 days, otherwise the battery loses it's juice. As the original owner of the car I disagreed as I have traveled on trips with the car at the airport for 7-14 days at a time, and it was never an issue. This just started happening around 36,000 miles. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated as I am frustrated with my dealer.

In addition to the above, I picked up my car again this morning and the stereo was not working. Being late for an appointment, I told them I would re-schedule for this problem. Coming back from my meeting I stopped and picked up a 20 amp fuse which runs the stereo as the original one was burned out. To my suprise when replacing the amp, sparks flew and the new fuse was trashed immediately. Could this be part of the above problem?
