AC Control Head
Brought my 2011 Q7 to the dealer due to loss of AC ( blowing hot air) came back with a diagnostic that multiple message of loss communication with the AC module, cleared the messages now it is working but recommend changing the AC control Head for a cost of $2065...
couple of questions: How can i find and clear these messages.
where is this AC control head and how difficult is it to replace?

Odd as it sounds, on the modern vehicle you sometimes need to "reboot" modules once in a while.
The A/C control head/module is the control panel itself. Not too bad to change but it needs to be coded to the vehicle. Without a scanner, not sure how to clear messages.
It may only happen this one time. I'd let it go and hopefully it'll be OK.
