Default Alternator belt issue

I have a 1988 80Q with a 10v turbo swap from a 5000tq. The problem that I am facing is the alternator belt has come off or broken 3 times in the past 2 weeks. My mechanic said it was the motor mounts (engine jumping when heavy pedaling/shifting). Had those changed and all seemed fine for 1 day. Cranked her up the last night and BATTERY light was on again. Checked up the car and guess what............the damn alternator belt was off again. SO the motor mounts DID NOT cure this annoyance. I suspect that its a PULLEY issue.

Can any one chime in with something useful to assist with remedying this issue.

Thanks,

Chris!!!!!!!!!!
