Default Audi A4 1999 1.8T Power Steering Issue

So I am new to this form and it is my first time posting so here it goes....

I have an Audi A4 1999 1.8T Sedan Quattro and the other day it started making noise in what I think is the power steering and sounds like a high pitched whine. The youtube videos below are exactly like my noise....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JR0F4...eature=related

I know that's the 4.2 v8 but when I turn the wheel I get the same noise. Now, I haven't had a chance to get under the car because I am away at college and the car is here with me while my house and garage is about 250 miles away! Immediately I checked the fluid and it was a tad low but nothing serious so I went to a foreign car parts store and got the Audi recommended fluid, topped it off, but I still had the noise after driving it about 5 miles with it topped off. After I stopped I checked it again and its still full but I noticed a lot of foam in the PS fluid container. I didn't want to drive it anymore so it has been sitting for about a week and I don't know what to due as I really cant look under it etc. without any tools and I am wondering if I would further damage anything by going home. Does anyone have any ideas????????

Anything would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Kyle

If there's foam, you're getting air in there. Burp the system, top off the fluid again, and see how it acts then.

Thanks for the reply. I assume by Burping the system you mean getting the air out? I hear that stating the car, with the resivour cap off, and turning the wheel back and forth will help. Is this correct or is there a more specific procedure?
