Audi A4 '98 alarm problem
Hi everybody,
I need help, I saw there are some posts about similar problem in the forum,
but no such answer which could make me satisfied.
I have Audi A4 Avant '98, I use it about a year without any problem, till today.
Everytime I lock my car, doesn't matter if I do it by remote control or by key,
after a while (sometimes it takes 20 mins, sometimes only 5 mins) the car starts
to blink and make a noice (beep beep beep beep beep....).
I made sure the windows were closed, restarted the car, reset the interior motion sensors, etc.
Once I tried to leave alarm button light on, once I leave it off. Nothing solves the problem.
I am definitely disconnecting the battery tonight. I need some sleep and my neighbors do too!
I'd be very curious to hear if other Audi drivers have had similar problems,
and what the diagnosis was... Thanks!
What would by the reason:
Is my key battery too low?
Need my remote control key to be reprogrammed?
Is my car battery too low?
Is my interior ultrasonic sensor broken?
...?

RE: Audi A4 '98 alarm problem
And do you really think that high sensitivity of the ultrasonic system is the problem?
And why whole the year for which I use the car was everything OK? It happends for the first
time yesterday.
I don't have access to Vag-Com, I don't have a special car connector either the software.
And I don't want to give money to my serviceman until I really catch the problem I need to fix.
Thanx for reply
