Default Bose stereo system won't turn on - nothing!

Can someone tell me if they've had the same problem. I started my car this morning and the stereo will not turn on. The little red light that indicates power won't light. There's nothing!

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks.

Thanks for replying. Good question. I believe you're right. I remember smelling something burning for a few seconds, then the smell went away. Would changing the fuse be hard for a complete novice?

not at all, but you don't usually smell a fuse when it burns out, especially a small fuse like the one for the radio...look in your owners manual, it will tell you exactly where your radio fuse is, that would def be the first thing to check. (there will be a small plastic tool on the inside of your fusebox lid, that is your fuse puller)
