Guys, I have an 05 A4, 3.0 Quattro automatic with 72k miles...Past couple of days my brake lights go on when car is parked and not running. Lights will stay on until I press the brake paddle. Once it started doing this, now when I drive the car in runs out of power. I mean I press the gas paddle all the way down and the car doesn't move and then all of a sudden it'll accelerate. My dashboard is showing A triangle with exclamation mark symbol. Is this electrical issue or is something wrong with my transmission?

 

Sounds like a power issue. Get to an advanced auto parts or something and check the charge on the battery.

 

Turns out it was the brake switch that had to be replaced..

 

Where is the brake switch??
