Found codes #16785,,egr valve getting vacuum, egr temp sensor changes when vacuum applied to egr valve, egr valve holds vacuum, idle changes when vacuum applied to egr valve” this is what my mechanic told me, he resets my ecu and the light goes back on every 600 miles and now it goes off for 4 days then back on every couple months!!! what should i do first replace the vacuum cylinoid then the egr valve or could it just be a o2 sensor

 

thats not a code... it would be a letter and then 4 numbers..

 

um no !! it even says it in my repair manual

 

16785 = EGR system insufficient flow detected, probable causes are hose leak/blockage, basic settings not carried out, EGR valve/solenoid ( im going for hose leak/blockage ) but also tempted to say clean the EGR valve out, as for the code its a 5 digit VAG

 

i payed 200 bux for the whole valve and port to be cleaned so im gonna prolly do the cylinoid first
