cigerette lighter surround lite!

Hi there
the orange light that surrounds my cigertte lighter doesnt work. I changed the bulb which came on for a split second then blew/went off.

Any Ideas please?

Sounds like a loose connection. If you wiggle the bulb and / or wire can you get it to come back on? Are the wires maybe brittle from heat and broken? Have you tried an electrical tester on the leads?
