Default Vcds lite

I have the freeware with ebay dongle and it works. But you cant do anything except re-code basically. Anyways I need a TB adaption the legit way. I tried all key on for 5 mins 1000 times after disconnect battery for like 5 hours. Still nothing. Found this : https://www.audiforums.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1374778#post1374778 apparently he had the same issue and a scan tool/ vcds tb adaption solved problem. I guess what I' m getting at is shod i buy the registered vcds lie for $99? Or should I just go to dn audi dealer and ask for a Tb adaption. Changing my ecu every other day to try again is getting old.

I can't give much of a suggestion, but if you chose to get it for $99, it still beats those other OBD2 scanners going for $230 avg and u can do a lot more with it.

In my case, I might have grabbed a copy off a pirate site because I needed to do a TBA (car was revving and sputtering like it was going to blow up after a couple weeks with a dead battery) and then purchased the software so as to be a good citizen.
