Clutch issues
Hi all,
Ill start from the beginning......
Last weekend i went over a speed hump, and my car scraped going over it, i didnt see any issues when i got the car back home (i got the car in the air and checked under the car and i couldnt see any issues).
The next day i went out in the car and there was a nasty vibration running through the car and it felt like it was miss firing, a friend of mine checked it over and said the flywheel seems to be going which would explain the vibrations etc.
As i was driving home the car was struggling to get into gear (i had to force it sometimes to get in gear) i parked up and i couldnt get a gear when the engine was running. I turned it off and tried putting into gear and it was fine, it found every gear.
Does anyone know what might have gone? im thinking after whast ive been told it could be either the flywheel, gearbox or the clutch!!
The car is a 2002 A4 B6 1.8T with about 146k on the clock!
Thanks

Ok, well, start small, you may have air in the lines, or the fluid is bad. Bleed out the system and try your luck again.
If that isn't the case it could be you need to adjust the 'play' in the clutch pedal. there is a space about 1/4'' -> 1/2'' worth of play in the pedal... This means that when you push the pedal in, it isn't completely disengaging the clutch, which would make it difficult to change gears since the clutch wheel is still engaged with the flywheel.
If neither of those are your problem you may have a bad slave cylinder, or a bad master cylinder.
If it isn't either of those, Then work your way to the flywheel, but if you start there, and the systems above are bad, you'll have the same problem and have wasted your time.
