Clutchless shifting on a quattro?
Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone has ever tried clutchless shifting on a quattro system. I've seen some vids on you tube about it but the vids were only on front wheel drive cars.
I've been plaging around with it a bit and I noticed that I can shift out of gear and into neutral without the clutch. It's very easy to do and there is absolutely no grinding. When it try to shift into a gear I hit the "wall" and out of fear of breaking something I don't push it.
The vids on YouTube all showed the shifting to be almost as smoothly as using the clutch however, the cars were FWD. Can anyone do it on a quattro system?

Its possible on any car. You just have to match the rpms perfectly with where they need to be. That takes a lot of practice. But like Tek said, if you don't like the clutch, get rid of it. I'm sure an auto guy will trade you that wouldn't mind having a stick instead.

Thanks Audi Tek, nice response (yawn)
I take great care of my car as if it's any of your business. I was asking a simple question. If you can't answer then don't bother.
It's people like you that turn asking a simple question in an open forum into a big deal. No one asked you to respond so next time do us all a favor and spare us the condescending attitude.
