My son dinged his 2004 s4 B6,and we replaced suspension and Brakes.
Since repairing, the soft codes on the dashboard for worn brake pads and headlight angle are showing.
Is it possible that this is caused by a faulty rear ABS sensor.
Apparently these control not only ABS, but headlight range control.
All brake pads are new, and headlight works and is adjusted properly.
My mechanic has already mis-diagnosed the visual warning code as a faulty steering angle sensor, but the owners manual shows that a flashing yellow circle with 3 small rectangular segments on each left and right sides is clearly the brake pad sensor.
Any advice or help would be appreciated. My mechanic has already charged a lot to fix problems incorrectly. Would like to have a better idea of what the problem is before letting him loose on the car again
