Fauilty temp gauge.

Default Fauilty temp gauge.

Ok this has been ongoing and it kinda pissing me off at frst i thought i was the thermostat but it was replaced 30k miles ago along witht he t-belt and all that good stuff. when i start it up it takes forever to warm up up sometimes it stays cold(heater throws ht air) until stop after driving for about 15 minutes turn off the car, and when i start it back up it shows its somewhat warmer. then after driving it starts to cool down. WTF.what could the problem be,

Sorry to say but it sounds like your thermostat was short lived, I would replace it.
As far as your being warmer after you shut it down, that is normal. It's called heatsoak

My A4 is doing the same thing, just replaced the thermostat and the temp sensor and still didn't fix the problem.?????????????????

Replace the temperature sensor.

temp sensor is cheap and easy to change i'd start there
