Default flasher/indicator problem

Hi.

I have an A6 Avant, 1.8T, year 2000 model

My indicators stopped working on both sides so, having searched online for the answer, the most likely culprit seemed to be the flasher module (incorporated behind the hazard warning switch) as the hazard lights still worked but indicators didn't. I changed it this morning for a new one from my Audi dealer.

Tip in passing: Those who also struggle to get the old module out, use a pair of pliers around the red hazard switch and yank hard!

Anyway, I installed the new module and the problem is still there. So what else could be wrong? Any advice would be gratefully received!

Bulbs are all OK
Fuses are OK

Thanks.
