hello folks looking to know if anyone has a cure for my a6 gearbox it slips out of 4th gear sometimes have checked and adjusted all linkages all seems fine. car was damaged and linkage bent but all was replaced maybe theres a selector bent inside box please help as i am being asked stupid money for new box

 

Changing the detents would be a good place to start. They should be fairly cheap and arnt too hard to replace. They are on the outside of the trans and require a fairly large socket to remove.
