Hi, I have a 1997 A4 and the low beam and fog lights won't turn on when I flip the switch. Also when I push the lever forward to put the high beams on the high beams do not work but if I pull the lever toward me the high beams work. I changed both fuses for the low beams but still no lights. Has any one had any experience with something like this? Thanks

most likely your headlight switch

 

Try spraying the switch with Radio Shack contact cleaner.

 

Thanks for the reply. Where exactly would I spray the contact cleaner. I know the switch is on the steering column. Do I have to remove anything to actually do it. Thanks againg for the help.

Spray it into the column and move the switch. Ventilate the interior.

 

only my left low beam and left fog light dont work. i have an 01 s4 any ideas...neither fuses under dash are blown..any ideas.

 

Check your owner's manual for relays.

 

the problem is that i cant find it and im curious as to where it is. where can i get a rely and about how much will it be and if u could help thatd be great.

01 s4 left lowbeam does not work not the bulbs or fuses.

 

Hawks2842, you might try swapping the left and right ballasts/ignitors.
