Irritating judder / vibration
Hi folks,
I have a 6 month old A4, and I have an irritating vibration whenever car is moving away from a still position forwards or in reverse with wheels slightly turned or at full lock, the judder travels right up through the accelerator and goes when speed reaches about 10mph.
It sounds like its either a drive shaft problem or power steering prob.
Anyone had the same issues, its due for its first service next week but the service tech sounded quite blase when I described it and said everyone gets that because of the power steering pump is working hard, I think that sounds like rubbish, I have owned Mercs and BMW's and never experienced this before.
Appreciate the feedback

RE: Irritating judder / vibration
If you have quattro, it will make some tire noise & judder from a stop with the wheel turned, it's just the system transferring torque & the front wheels fighting for traction.
Your not talking about the wheel lock power steering pump noise?
Other then that, I'd check the suspension arms & CV joint.

I have the same issue and right away I thought about clutch packs slipping for the uneven speed of the wheels. Also wondered if its rear driveshaft related? Its not that bad but noticable.
