Default Issues with my signal lights

I have a 2002 A6. Both my right and left turn signals work when I use the turn signals. The issue is that when I put on the hazard lights or use my remote to lock or unlock my doors only the passenger side lights/signals work. I looked at the fuses and checked to wiring to the bulbs and all is fine. Has anyone had this issue before? Is there a way to fix this issue?

Do the actual hazards work fine when you use them? Usually any fault in this system is from the hazard relay and chances are replacing it will probably fix your problem, but this seems kind of fishy. It's weird that it's working the way it does. Can you do a few tests and try to figure out what works and what doesn't and specifically when (the car is off/on, driving/stopped, turning/straight, etc).

When i put the hazards on only the passenger side works. I also tried putting on the driverside turn signal (which worked) then putting on the hazards while keeping the turn signal on. The result was the hazards only working on the passenger side again. I will try to replace the bulbs first and see what happens

you know what i had this problem on my 98' a4 dont know for sure the similarities between both but the I had the same symptoms and i had to change the whole headlight switch inside the steering column. An IDEA dont know check it out for your model.. maybe you never know.. try the hazard relay first if thats not it then its the headlight swith it controls your signals.

It was the hazard relay. I ordered one online $60 (instead of $95 at the dealer) Popped it in and all is well. Thanks for all the help!
