Default Key Programing..

Anyone know how to program my car's key to my car? Switchblade key.

I have a 2003 a4 and im not sure if the key is dead, or if its just not programed. If anyone could help me out, it would be much appreciated...

The Owners manual has the procedure for remote control reprogramming.
If the remote was working before, I'd start with battery replacement.

This works on A4s.

The following instructions are to reprogram your switchblade key fob.

1. Take a spare key and insert it into the ignition. Turn it one click forward.

2. Roll down your window just in case. Step outside the car, and lock the car with a second key.

3. With your second key fob press the unlock button. The lights should flash.

4. Now lock the car with the key fob, and then unlock it.

5. Remove the key from the lock and the key from the ignition, and try it's function

Per the owner's manual on 2003 A4's you're supposed to do the following:

1. Press the unlock button on the remote control
2. Insert the ket into the ignition and turn it to the on position
3. Turn the key back to off
4. Pull the key out
5. Press either lock or unlock to complete the procedure

This worked on mine after I replaced the battery today.
