LED tail lights, just put in, now malf. light on

Each resister you put across, in parallel, will add 1.44 watts.
How many watts does the LED light use?

I figured out now a 5w 33ohm resistor should work.

the LED uses around 300ma

The LED uses 3.6 watts, so you want to draw 1.4 watts more.

Use a 100 ohm resistor rated at 1.4 watts.
