The 12v V6? It's on the front of the block behind the timing belt. You don't have to remove the timing belt to change it (there's an access cover over it - passenger side of the block), but you have to tear all the way down to it in order to change the t-stat so you may as well do the full t-belt job (it's easy and the car is designed to give easy access). Check out www.12v.org and look at the t-belt tech article. It'll show you what's necessary. If you're near southern NY I can do it for you in a few hours.

Default Need help with overheating.

I live in San Diego.Thanx for the offer.IAfter replacing the radiator, the radiator fan switch, and the water pump the rad fans won't start when the engine gets hot.I short the rad switch plug and the fans work.It appears that the rad fan switch never gets hot enough to close so for the fans to start.Could it be the thermostat?
