Mold Smell from AC , help
hello!
this is my second audi a-4 wagon. i had to sell the first one after only one year because of a terrible mold smell that was making me quite sick, and the dealerships did nothing but spray some lysol and hand it back to me. i want to cry. i love this car, i loved it enough that i bought another one, but forget about driving it on hot humid summer days. i cant take clients in it at all for fear of that smell shooting out of the AC when we get into the car. i am about to spend a chunk of money to get the mold tested so i can walk into Audi with the report. Does anyone have any ideas? suggestions?
thanks in advance

Where do you live?
If you actually smell 'mold', I dunno. Most likely its mildew on the evap coil. This can happen if the condensate drain is plugged. They do make a cleaner for this, available at any A/C or HVAC shop. Of course you need to get at the evap coil.....

Same Problem
I have a 2003 Audi A4 and have had the same issue for the past couple years. Just took it to the dealer again and they returned it and told me just to run the A/C in econ mode for 5 minutes before stopping the car in order to dry things up and prevent water from pooling. Obviously this is a lame solution and doesn't even seem to be helping so far. I've read up a bit and it seems there are products (listed below) available to help prevent moisture buildup but I'm not sure how exactly to apply them. Does anyone have experience with any of these sprays and, if so, can you provide some tips on how exactly to use them?
