Default Is my clutch done?

I have a 99.5 A4 1.8t quattro

I parked it the other day and everything was fine, after a really cold night I went to drive it and couldn't get it into 1st without it grinding like crazy then popping into gear, same with 2nd.

After a little driving 1st is almost impossible to get into so I had to drive it with only 2nd still with the grinding and popping in. 3rd works but feels like it never fully engages.

4th,5th and reverse are all fine. I was able to drive it home from north jersey to south jersey.

Any thoughts before I start pulling stuff apart? Thanks guys.

souns more like a synchro issue, drive this, once the car and gearbox are warmed up take off in first normally and instead of shifting into 2nd go to 3rd or 4th gear, the car will bog but if it still accelerates the clutch is probably good, if the revs go up and the car dosent start to pull the clutch i slipping. if the clutch is good and its a synchro problem then either double clutch until the gearbox warms up or throw in some synchromesh gear oil to quiet down the synchros.

I have a hard time getting it into 1st.. once I get it into gear tho I can drive so I guess its not the clutch. I'm guessing its synchros and I need an new trans.

I think we are way past synchromesh. I just put some in my mr2 I have 3 bottles just sitting here. But I can't even get into first gear at all, Second takes a lot of work but I can get it in (both grind the whole time I try to get them into gear) every other gear slides right in, tho 3rd feels like it never fully engages, but doesn't slip
