I have just bought an 01 audi TT Q - It has a 3'' downpipe and bosch exhaust system the previous owner installed and around 200k miles. He had routine maintenance done by the dealers on it- as indicated by the manual. The AC went out. Though he said it did that at times, and switching to econ would cause it to come back on. This has never worked for me. Any advice as to what to check next would be deeply appreciated. How can I check to see if the compressor comes on? Should checking Freon levels be the first thing to do?

So, I guess i posted this prematurely. I am new to audi's.. but not tuner cars and it made me a bit apprehensive, so I thought I'd ask around about the problem before even looking at it! Turned out to be simple fuse blown!
