My brother brought his 2004 A8 over yesterday that he'd just bought used. I scanned it with my vag-com and a whole barrage of fault codes showed up. I reset them. After disconnecting, lots of warning lights in the dash came on.

Is it possible the people who sold this car did something to hide all of the warning lights from coming on?
