Problem: MIL and Gaseous smell in cabin
I have a 2004 A6 2.7T Quattro with 68k miles
After it rains, I have noticed a very odd smell in the car. I have felt around for wet carpet and everything seems fine.
I dont even know how to describe the smell except that it kinda resembles gasoline.Baking soda doesnt help a bit, and I only smell it some mornings or after it rains.
Today I recieve the MIL light while driving 45 mph. I looked at my oil temp and happened to notice it was lower than 150 degree F. (no idea if it is releated)
I slow down to 40 and keep an eye on the oil temp and it slowly goes back up toward 200 degree F.
If I continue to see the MIL I will take it to a dealer. Until then and ideas on WHAT the smell is? or IF the problems are related?
