I live in cleveland, ohio and need an awd car and I will be in the market for a car in the next couple months. Two of the cars I am considering are an a4 or a6, 1999-2002. My question is what to look for on these cars. Are there any problem areas in either of these, one year better than another, is maintance expensive(parts, I can do the work myself), etc. I would appreciate any help or thoughts. Thanks

 

parts can be expensive. aluminium suspension arms can fail if not replaced when worn.

 

I'm not sure witch car you are looking at but for the most part Its not to much worse than any other car. about the control arms alot of them are on recall if they are failing.
