Replacing Axl Joints?
I have a 2001 A4 automatic with 75K miles. The dealer just called from its 75K service and told me I need new rubber axl joints, that will cost $1900. Is this reasonable? Any tips? Thank you!
Way over priced, you can buy the CV boot repair kit for about $60 per axle from the parts department. Just buy them and take it to an indy shop to have them replaced. The book says that each CV boot takes 2.5 hours of labor to change. So 5 hours of total labor, the dealer is probably charging you over $100 an hour.
