Default CV Joints

ok i know my booties are broken, and the car doesn't click when i turn either direction. Rather it makes a slight rattle when i go over small bumps at slow speed. I have 81k miles on my car. Think i am too late for just a boot fix?

Only real way is to pull it apart & look at the joint.

Audi CV-joints are pretty sturdy, if the boots haven't been ripped for too long I would just replace them. The rattles are probably control arms, check the bushings on them (if they haven't been replaced yet, they should definitely be bad by 81k)
