Rotten Egg Smell
Hello All,
I'm not sure if this has been answered before but.....
I just bought a Certified Pre-owned 2013 Audi A4 with 57K miles. I like to go on long road trips and I have already taken the car on three such trips. On all three drives, I've noticed that randomly at around 78 mph, I'll smell rotten eggs. I'll always joke and ask my wife if she farted.
The smell doesn't last, and it doesn't happen often (like once or twice per trip). Should I have to dealer take a look at something? I only get super when I fill up.
Any advice would be most helpful.
Thank,
Mick~

It might not even be your car. You may be passing through the exhaust of another car that has screwed up CATs or bad fuel and it's coming into your car. Otherwise you have have a small leak in the exhaust somewhere. Also try another brand of gas just to check and see if it's not that. Being a fairly new car, I wouldn't think it would be the Cat Convertors but you never know.
