Ok, so I purchased this 1999 audi tt and the sterio is in safe mode. I have the code and follow the procedure to reset this by pushing the two buttons to activate the code reset. But, Still the sterio will not get out of safe mode. What could be the problem?

 

Are you sure it's the code to that radio that's in the car? Sometimes people will replace the radio for whatever reason and the code in the owners manual isn't the one that's associated with the radio that's installed. You can go by the dealer (I hate doing that but it's your only option in this case) and confirm the "safe code" you have corresponds to the serial number of the radio in the car (you'll have to pull it, takes 2 minutes with the removal keys).
