Default spark plug

I got my car flashed for stage 2 and the guy i took my car to put auto lite copper spark plugs in. I noticed a good power gain since that was done. BUT!!! I have an automatic ( tiptronic ) but in 3rd gear it was breaking up between 3000 and 4000 RPM, A week later it was doing it through all gears. my check engine light was flashing so i wanted it checked out. got it looked out at the other shop and I had a miss fire on cylinder 2, 3, and 4. His mechanic took the coil packs out and was going to check my compression on the cylinders and he said they were all fine and the spark was great on the coil packs. So he put NGK laser platinum plugs in and i have not had a problem with miss fire since. It runs grat now. I told the other shop about the problem and he said that the auto lite spark plugs need to be in there bucause of the stage 2 flash. I didnt put the plugs back in and I am waiting to see if the problem occurs again. anyone ever herd of this? I think he is out of his mind, I have asked several other shops and they all kind of laughed? would anyone say the same thing and kind of laugh at this person????

READ THE DAM FAQ!

1. WHAT CAR>?
2. WHAT ENGINE
3. What flash?

Get it? Stock plugs are best unless you upgrade the turbo.

I couldn't resist either, but I am not like the... Fly Circus!

I am just getting myself familiar with Audi. I have a 2004 A6/4.2L, no flash (yet).

I plan to change the plugs tomorrow. My plan was to use the Denso Iridium (5304(?), but I fugured I would check around the forum first. I got some real "Shrapnel" from a K&N post...
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The OEM plugs ( NGK platinum )are the only plugs you are supposed to use. I looked at my service manual and I have talked to a few shops. they have said the only reason you would need to change the type of plug is for a big turbo upgrade... same type of plug just cooler in temp.
