I have a 1999 A4 Quattro with a sunroof that will not close properly. It is now sealed tight, but if opened again, there's no guarantee it will shut.

I'm looking to remove a sunroof from an A4 in a nearby junkyard, but am unsure how to go about it.

I would guess I'll have to tilt the sunroof open, unscrew the bolts along the track, remove the glass and go from there. I'd probably need to remove (cut) the headliner to. Am I on the right track?

Any help is appreciated, especially before it snows.

 

you need to removed the head liner yes, once its down you can easily see how the frame mounts to the body
