Default Tie rod ends , aftermarket or OEM!

I need new tie rod end on the drivers side on my allroad, not sure what to order, lemforder, meyle or some other brand. I think lemforder are factory but they also cost a lot more then meyle etc. Also would it be ok if I replace just one tie rod or should I do both, there is nothing wrong with the other one. I want to try and do this by myself.

I replaced mine with Meyle. About 8 months after that, I replaced my entire control arm assembly with a Febi Kit.

The Meyle were far stronger and beefier than the stock.
The Febi Looked just as good as the Meyle.

I believe Febi has a better reputation than Meyle.
For the TRE's, I think both are better than OEM.

I was reading a post where somebody said we should stick with oem, but it didn't provide any explanation why. Can I do just one or I should do both?

Personally, I like the Febi or Meyle better than OEM.
I'm not a tech though.
Replace both for sure. After that, get an alignment.

You may want to go to a tire place and have them check your control arm assembly before you do the TRE's.

After I did my TRE's, I went to get an alignment, and they told me that the control arm bushing were shot and an alignment would do no good.

Of coarse I waited way too long to replace the control arm assembly and in the mean time, my front tires eroded to the bare radials.

My point is, I should have done the entire control arm assembly when I did the TRE's. Could have saved myself a bunch of money and time.

I ended up ordering lemforder,I am too getting some squeaking noises from the same area, we'll see if it's the tie rod.

squeaking is probably suspension related. im replacing my tre's now and i had rattling and vibration in the wheel and steering area of the car, and a lot of play in the steering. control arms and bushings were all fine.

little update: I tried to remove the tie rod on two occasions, without success. First it wouldn't move from the inner tie rod , then it started to spin, I thought I got it loosed but then I realised the outer tie rod was spinning in the middle. Basicly, the threaded part wasn't moving but the other part was turning. I thought it was one solid piece.
