Where's this part go?
So. I removed my engine and transmission on my 2001 A4 2.8L Quattro and had the transmission rebuilt. Upon reinstalling I had what I think is a swing bracket left over. I have no clue where it goes. Please help. I attached a picture hopefully it worked.

I agree. I was thinking it went to the exhaust somewhere. Cost $2600 to rebuild entire transmission. Its a 5hp19fla. They wanted another $1600 if I had them remove it. This was my first Audi project. I like how once the bumper is off, it opens up plenty of access space. There are a lot of parts. I wish I would have taken more pictures first or invested in the Bentley manual. I spent a lot of time on Google looking up torque specs. The manual is the way to go. If your gonna do something like this better get some extra T27 torque heads, and make sure you clean the bolt holes good and tap it in.

I hate those damned torx head bolts they use.. I had to do a cam tensionser replacement on both sides of the 4.2 on mine. Had to use vise grips to get the the damned things off. Had to buy all new bolts. All friggin' 40 some odd bolts. Just about every one of them rounded out. And the TTY s**t is ridiculous too. I striped the threads on the first two on the degree part of the torque process and had to helicoil the holes in the head. Set the rest to 20Nm and was done with it. That was last year and about 20K miles ago.
