99 a4 1.8t exhaust
I'm interested in upgrading my exhaust system but don't want to spend a whole lot. I want a deep tone instead of a loud bumblebee tone. Also I would like to know if I can unbolt my muffler or if I'll have to cut them off. Anybody know if they unbolt?

I just put this Borla on my daughters 2001 A4 Quattro 1.8T, automatic. It was the cheapest aftermarket one we could find for the automatic. It has a nice sound to it, a bit deeper than stock, not an annoying buzzing sound, and not the motor boat sound that the Borla has on a V8.
It is a bit of work as it bolts to the cat.. (her flex joint came apart, which is why we were replacing it). I did cut it off instead of trying to unbolt it.. and wound up unbolting the cat from the turbo to make it easier..

The Borla was a good deal for my daughters '01, which is also the 1.8T with an automatic. It was much cheaper than the stock exhaust, 01 2001 Audi A4 Quattro Exhaust System - Exhaust - Borla - PartsGeek
