i just bought a '99 A4 and am having little issues here and there. Currently my sunroof has decided to open & close on its own when I am driving. It occurs randomly and only stays open for a few seconds before closing. Sometimes it does it only once during a long drive and sometimes three or four times during a quick trip. I have no clue why. The switch is always in the closed position. I haven't used it except to try it out when I bought it. Any ideas what the cause may be?

Yeah apparently its a common problem. Ive seen a few threads where a little bit of cleaning the contacters fixes the problem. You have to first take off the reading lights by tugging at the edge. You then take off the instrument box and clean out the contactors. Id suggest you look at the forum, theres a great thread with pics.

Being that I am a newbie and have never done the forum thing before...I can only say DOH! I should have done a little more research before posting. Thanks for everyone's suggestions (even yours JTOWN! I've been driving my car with the radio turned down just to listen to the little voices.)
