Audi A4 V6 1996 Door locking problems. Help Please!!
Hello
I have a problem with the door locking. It doesn't work, I already checked the fuses, but seems like they're fine!
I don't know if there are more fuses located in the car that i haven't found!?
Can anyone give some advices on what the problem, could be? or can you tell me about a website where I can find a diagram to see where to check?
Any help will be really appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Different troubleshootying steps would apply for each...
Thanks for your response.:-)
I mean the "Door power locks" doesn't work. yeah i can unlock it using the key.
I have manually to open the passager's door. I cannot use the remote to unlock it either:-(
thanks

Have you tried to turn the key to the "Unlock" position and hold it for a few seconds. The remaining doors, trunnk, and gas cap should also unlock.
If this works then you may just have to reprogram your fob and you should be in good shape.

I know the 96's key system is a vacuum system, so possibly you might just not have enough vacuum to operate the locks, I'm not sure where the pump is or what not but I would guess that should probably be looked at as a possible problem. Also if you post this in the A4(b5) section, you will get a lot more and quicker responses to your problems.

Yeah I've tried that but nothing happens. The trunk also is unlocked, I can't lock it even using the key ( it does close but it doesn't lock):-(
Thank you!
Thank you!
