Hey all,
Well after some serious soul searching I decided to sell my 1991 Land Cruiser. And seeing how I some unnatural disdain for sedans, a wagon seemed....lame. BUT....after a year of shopping around, looking at Volvos, Subarus, and the like I finally decided on a 2001.5 S4 Avant. I have only had it for 2 days but so far I am feeling pretty good about the whole thing. My options here in town were a white one with black interior, a red one with black interior, a yellow one with the Alcantera (sp?) white interior, or a silver one with the light grey seats and door inserts. Well, whitey was too pricey, Ol red has 170k on the clock, the yellow was...yellow and cost the same as the lower mileage silver, which looks brand new in and out.
It is all kinds of stock. No Mods except for tinted windows, which I am confident makes it faster. Seems pretty "bare" bones too. No Sunroof, no home link, no sport package. But I live in Seattle so we rarely use the sunroofs anyways (and the one on my Cruiser creeked all the time), our garages are not for cars, and it is sporty enough without chrome mirrors.
This forum was a huge help to me when researching, and has already helped me figure out how to use the headlight washer, why the airbag light is on and what that secret button behind the drivers seat is. So..THANKS
I hope I dont need it but I am sure I will be back for more help down the road.

Ahhh man how'd you pass up yellow with alcantra?!??!?! The only color combo I like better is the Nogaro Blue with alcantra.
But still the car looks awesome

I know, I know. It was the same price but with 30k more miles and no proof of Timing belt replacement. That was big for me.
I was also worried about the suede getting funky. That and yellow is not a very popular color around here (hell the sun is even rare)so it kinda stands out.
And with 250 ponies under me for the first time I prefer to fly below the radar inmy little silver sleeper wagon.
Silver/grey is Seattle cammo!
5 days and I have already had SO much fun blasting beamers mercs and punk a** fast and furious kids off the line. I actually saw one teens jaw actually drop, but only for a second...I am near sighted.
