Default Audi S8 Bonnet Cable Snapped in Junction Box

Ok it's 2018, someone who was moving my car in the dealership / bodyshop had EXIT THE CAR QUICK - BIG BOOT ISSUE, catching perhaps unknowingly the Bonnet Lever by the throttle pedal on the way out of the car. Causing excess release lever travel.

SNAP goes the cable at the weakest point - In The Plastic Junction Box under the bonnet, where it is situated over the Headlamp Cluster. Only visual access and a small space is available, but Plumbers grips can get to the box.

The Junction Box houses the two cables that go to the actual Bonnet Latches. Pulled by one cable from the bonnet lever inside the car. (The Snaped Cable)

A New AUDI Bonnet cable must be sought, on inspection of it it's clear how it works.

So
1. Forget the videos showing SAWiNG the bonnet catches off.
2. Forget drilling holes in the bonnet to release the latches

Solution.
After removal of the front drivers wheel arch front liner, this allows visual access to the area that you can see where the junction box is located.
Using Plumbers Grips, get the whole box, pull it into the gap, re-grab hold of the box with plumbers grips and Tug/Snap Pull Sharply towards you and the bonnet release catches open.

This is the safe and easy method.

Stage 2 - fit new bonnet cable.
Remove drivers footwell lower dash & two screws to dislodge the fuse box to make access easier.
Remove the top plastic cover under the hood to acess the cable route, down to the bulkhead.
There is another small plastic cover under this by the windscreen, that only comes out one way, to get access to the cable entry, make sure you remember this, as it only goes back the same way you got it out.
Then put new cable into footwell from the bonnet side and secure the grommet in the bulkhead.
The Junction is easy to connect, as the bonnet is now open.

Ensure you operate the new cable / lever and see the junction box operates the two bonnet release catches a few times by hand. To ensure its working BEFORE you actually close the bonnet.

Job done.
