How Much Did You Pay?
Hello all,
Currently a GTI owner trying to join the Audi family. Have my sights on a Q3 but the dealership and I couldn't agree on a price. I felt the dealer themselves wasn't contributing enough to make a deal, but rather relying on incentives to make the price seem discounted. They do have the upper hand, as Hawaii only has one dealership so they can charge whatever they want without competitive prices, however I've NEVER bought a car with this minimal effort of a discount from the dealer.
MSRP $37,070
Costco Incentive -$1,250
Audi Incentive for Cash payment -$750
Dealer discount -$1,550
Total out the door with taxes and fees = $36,135.59
So basically the dealer offered a whopping 4% discount to try and make the deal happen. For a close to $40,000 purchase that's an insult to me. Especially coming from a GTI that I got from the asking price of $33,130 down to $26,961 before taxes and fees. That's 18%...
Do Audis sell so quick and automatically that they don't need to make deals? I figured they would take what they can...especially during a pandemic.
Thanks for any input!
