Default New Audi A6 owner

I picked up a 1999 Audi A6 Quattro at a auction for $350. It has a few cosmetic issues and mechanical issues also. Hopefully I'll resolve all issues in time. I am
looking forward to learning as much as I can and hopefully help someone else.
Cheers and good day

That's great! You will learn here very valuable info about Audi, I have currently on a lease A4 https://dsrleasing.com/car-listings/...-lease-429-mo/. I am very happy because this is the best deal I have ever found!

That car is nice! doroth and is 2017! and no issues to worry about
I have ran into several issues already lol, now I know why it was $350 but I really did expect some issues. The TCM was soaked and fried, gear shifter destroyed and seats tore up. I like a challenge Name: 20170331_213138_zpsxhnjkfwb.jpg

Your TCM is probably soaked because the plenum drain is clogged. There is usually a rubber drain plug on the passenger side of the plenum(sits low, near the firewall). Remove it and throw it away. Also, make sure there are no leaves or other debris at the bottom of the plenum.

And I'd be willing to bet the connectors and wiring to the TCM is pretty scary looking as well. It's a lot of work but all of those connector housings and wiring pins are still available.

You are correct, it was clogged. I purchased both the TCM and wire harness off eBay for quite cheap. (TCM $35, harness $32.99 .. both free shipping) I'll just have to mate up the wires, solder them and shrink tube them.

There was a broken wire was broke and the harness was of green color, did not look good.

Thanks for the response UberTeile
