Default Newbie here!

Hey guys/girls! New to the site, and thought I'd check it out to learn a little more about Audi in general. I currently drive a modified SVT Contour as my weekend car, and will be looking for something a little more comfortable next year for a daily driver. The Koni/Eibach suspension isn't exactly bone-jarring, but I'd like something with a little more comfort. I'm looking at some used A4's, and would love to hear your overall opinions on them. The one in question is a 2000 A4 with 80k miles. Silver, Turbo 5spd, AWD, leather, moonroof, new clutch w/ warranty, all service records, Sport pkg, Climate pkg, perfect Int/Ext. They are asking $11,200. Just wondering if this would be a decent buy, or if I should look elsewhere? Also, are those 18" wheels that come stock? They look huge in the picture, and are the same wheels I see on another A4, so assuming they aren't aftermarket. Are all Audi lug patterns the same? What is the aftermarket like with the A4 turbo? How about parts availability, and am I going to break the bank on the inevitable wear and tear items? I can't imagine under the hood is anymore crammed than what I have to deal with now. Any help would be very much appreciated. Although I'm no newbie to messaging boards, I'm still wet behind the ears here. Thanks for being patient with my novel!

that price seems a bit high with 80K miles. but its not bad. i would need to se a pic of the wheels but 18in wasnt an option on the a4 so they could just be another different set of audi wheels. all the a4, s4 and rs4s have the same bolt pattern, i think the only one whit a diff bolt pattern is the tt. the 1.8t engine has sooooooo many mods available. audi parts are expensive and the service is even more expensive. with 80k be looking at new upper control arms, tie rod ends, and timing belt.

Thanks Sandman! Here's a link to the autorv ad. Audi A4 turbo ad

Looks pretty sharp with the windows already tinted. The wheels look pretty big, but I'm guessing it's because of the size of the A4. Maybe they're 17"s?

Anyway, I wish I were in the market for one right now, cause I'd probably be negotiating with the guy right now. If it were on a lot, I'd be test driving it. Maybe I should look for a dealership that has one, so I can make a more informed opinion. Again, thanks for the quick reply!

Hey welcome to the forum. You'll have a better response if you post your questions in the A4 forum.

Thanks Jestnomen! I actually did post in the A4 forum, just after I made my introduction here. I'll post a link over there now. I know that a lot of forums don't like cross-posting, so I didn't want two identical posts. I'll see if I've gotten any response.

Thanks again!
