Hello all! Great forum. I'm a rookie to the car scene... new to the world of Audi and looking forward to learn more about these cars. I just ordered a '06 DSG A3 couple days ago and I already have a few questions in mind...

I wanted the Navi and the optional xenon but the dealership couldn't locate an A3 with both within the 500 miles range in NY... the sales person said he'll needa order to built it (he told me that Audi only installs the Navi in plant, so he won't be able to install it in the dealership) and that according to him is going to take up to 12 weeks! Is that true at all? Or is he trying to pull a fast one on me? What are my options?

Should I go with the non-audi navi and xenon... or order the Audi optional xenon and have the dealership install that? Also, I'd like to hookup my ipod to the car stereo I read many bad reviews on iTrip not working properly with the FM. Any navi, xenon kits, and iPod hookup you guys would recommend getting?

I'm kinda lost... [] Any advice and input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

sorry to break this to you but there are not 2 door hatch A3 in the US
they only have the 4 door wagons

 

lol..panda it still seems to be your not over the 2 door hatch coming to the US yet.

aNYth1ng....wait for the nav. if you really want it. If not don't worry about it. You can probably negotiate the Audi optional Xenon, to be added by the dealer.Just be patient...start aking around thru other Audi dealers. If not you can call Audi Usa directly and they could probably help you out with that. They help me out locating a A8 for my inlaws (they were really helpful).
